Students of all faculties, students in the flexible study rights scheme (JOO)

Starting level: CEFR A1 (pdf).

German for beginners 1, or equivalent studies

After completing the course, students

  • Can manage in German in simple situations related to studies and everyday life
  • Can understand long, simple texts
  • Can describe events in the past tense

The course topics include leisure time and studies, visits, giving directions, accommodation and describing one’s home region.

The following will be discussed during the course: comparison of adjectives, the imperative, the present perfect and the simple past, dative and accusative prepositions and dual prepositions.

Individual, pair and group work in class. Numerous oral assignments, as well as home essays.

Teacher-instructed course with 52 hours of contact teaching and 56 hours of independent study.
Minimum course attendance: 75%

Campus D (German for beginners 2) – available on the Moodle platform for printing.

Based on the aspects mentioned under the course objectives. Regular and active participation in classroom work. The teacher will provide further information about the oral and written course assignments.
