Description

Master level students

Undergraduate course in management, entrepreneuship, or microecnomomics.

Recommended optional studies.

After the course, the student will have an understanding about the factors at play, which enables them to act as leaders to influence organizational performance, learning, and creativity for problem solving.

First year, II-period

Leadership and Organization covers a broad spectrum of concepts important to make an organization successful: visions, goals, strategies, performance, self-efficacy, work climate, organizational communication, learning, and creativity for problem solving to mention a few.

During the course, we discuss these concepts, using examples from real life. In addition, we will discuss conceptual things. For example, what is the difference between goals and strategy in theory and practice? Are creativity personal attributes or general abilities? How should leaders go about to sustain a high-performance culture?

In communication. How will polemics, argumentation, and reasoning influence work climate?

After the course, the student will have an understanding about the factors at play, which enables them to act as leaders to influence organizational performance, learning, and creativity for problem solving.
