Master’s degree, visiting and exchange students in Agricultural Engineering, Environmental Engineering in Agriculture or related disciplines.

MAAT-102 Basics of Measuring Technology and Electrical Engineering and Basics of programming or corresponding skills.

After the course student masters the basic principles of measurement technologies and is able to use different measurement devices and equipment. Student can program measurement devices and build measurement systems generally used in the agrotechnology research.

Period I, first year of MSc studies.

The operation of different sensor types, properties of data loggers and connection of sensors to data loggers. Information transfer through buses and wireless solutions. Programming related to data acquisition and transfer. Signal processing and analysis.

Exercise reports and exam. Grading scale 0-5.

Teaching language is Finnish or English. The course can only be completed as a 5 cr course (not anymore as a 7 cr course or a 10 cr course)
