Description

Master’s Programme in Atmospheric Sciences is responsible for the course.

Module where the course belongs to:

  • ATM300 Advanced Studies in Atmospheric Sciences
    Compulsory for:
    1. Study Track in Aerosol Physics

The course is available to students from other degree programmes.

Aerosol Physics I should preferably be performed before this course.

To learn basic processes that modify atmospheric aerosol populations, especially their size distribution and chemical composition

The course will be lectured every year in the II period.

  • Introduction to aerosol dynamics
  • Brownian coagulation
  • Gravitational coagulation and coagulation equation
  • Condensation
  • Nucleation
  • Atmospheric nucleation
  • Deposition
  • Charged aerosol dynamics
  • Cloud physics
  • Aqueous-phase chemistry
  • Modelling aerosol dynamics
