Registration and fee

Opintomaksu koostuu kahdesta osasta:

  • Avoimen yliopiston osuus, joka maksetaan verkkomaksuna Avoimeen yliopistoon ilmoittauduttaessa
  • Opetuksen järjestävän oppilaitoksen osuus

Opintoihin ilmoittaudutaan sekä opetusta järjestävään oppilaitokseen että Avoimeen yliopistoon.

Saat oppilaitokseltasi ohjeet Avoimeen yliopistoon ilmoittautumista varten. Ilmoittautuminen Avoimeen yliopistoon on sitova, ja se tulee tehdä viimeistään opintojen alkaessa.

Description

Students of all faculties, students in the flexible study rights scheme (JOO), international students.

Starting level: CEFR A2.

German for beginners 1 and 2 arranged by the Language Centre, or equivalent German courses at school.

The course will expand and deepen the students’ language skills in a versatile manner.

After completing the course, students

  • can manage in German in simple situations related to everyday life and understand the key content of short texts, e.g. advertisements and short news
  • can discuss topics dealt with on the course and write short texts related to the course topics
  • can recognise cultural differences and similarities between German-speaking countries and their own.

The course topics include e.g. everyday situations, accommodation, multiculturalism, well-being, knowledge of Berlin and German-speaking countries. Grammatical topics will include reflexive pronouns, zu-particle, subordinate clauses, the genitive and the repetition of the use of prepositions. In class, students will practise communication in everyday use in small groups and in pairs. Listening, reading, construction and writing assignments.

Material provided by the teacher.

Based on the aspects mentioned under the course objectives. Regular and active participation in classroom work. The examination dates will be given by the teacher during the course. The teacher will provide further information about the oral and written course assignments.

Pass / fail

Teacher-instructed course with 50 hours of contact teaching and 58 hours of independent work.

Minimum course attendance: 75 %.
