Museum Project Management

In this course students work as though in small consultancies to deliver specific projects to their clients: the museums.

The course includes a weekly contact time with a lecture, workshop, seminar or similar. In addition the students work together in small teams to deliver a project as specified by their "client" museum. These projects will vary in theme, skills needed, and type of output to be produced. Central to all though is teamwork, time management and communication!

The students are assessed by their "client" museum on the delivery of their project (30%), assessed on two group presentations discussing the project (10% each), two small interim assigments (10% each), and production at the end of the course of an individual learning diary based on the contact sessions (30%).
