  • Distinguish between quantitative and qualitative research methodologies;
  • Defend qualitative approaches as equally valid approaches to knowledge generation;
  • Choose between different qualitative research designs depending on the problem;
  • Describe the preparations necessary for conducting fieldwork;
    Recognize the key issues in storage and analysis of qualitative data;
  • Practice knowledge learnt in real life (conduct focus groups and interviews);
  • Prepare data for analysis
