Attendees of "MAW" will gain basics in different theoretical concepts of targeted metabolomics and also practical knowledge on various aspects of the metabolite analysis using mass spectrometry including data processing and statistical analyses.

This course is for MSc students and first year doctoral candidates.

Day 1
Introduction to targeted Metabolomics
Experimental design and analytical systems
Analysis of metabolites using Mass spectrometry

FIMM Metabolomics Unit lab tour
Metabolite extraction & analysis in biological samples
Running the extracted biological samples

Day 2
Targeted metabolomics data processing
Metabolic pathway analysis and case studies
Targeted metabolomics data processing of the own samples and statistical analyses
Continuation of the statistical analysis

Day 3
statistical analyses

Metabolomics data analyses.

Pass/fail, attendance required
