Eläinlääketieteen lisensiaatin koulutusohjelma vastaa jaksosta ja se ei ole tarjolla muiden koulutusohjelmien opiskelijoille.

Students will become familiar with the most important internal medical conditions and imaging techniques and their indications and significance for diagnosis, in addition to general treatment principles.

Students will be able to

  • identify the most important internal medical conditions in dogs and cats and exotic animals (ferrets, rodents, lizards and snakes) based on patient history and clinical findings
  • determine the most important laboratory and imaging examinations as well as their uses and diagnostic value
  • assess the course, severity and prognosis of an illness
  • describe general treatment principles
  • apply theoretical knowledge to the problem-based examination of patient cases
  • use literature, articles and the Internet to find information

Cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterological diseases (including those affecting the liver and the pancreas), hematology/immunology, oncology, poly-systemic infective and non-infective diseases, diseases of the urinary organs, disorders of the acid-base balance, and clinical pharmacology.
