Having completed the course unit, the student has a good understanding of fiction in a Nordic context, with special focus on literature, film and/or drama. The student is able to grasp the significance and particularity of Nordic fiction in an international comparison.

Not offered every year, teaching period defined in the annual teaching plan.

The study unit provides the student with an insight into relevant themes of Nordic fiction either jointly or as separate countries. The content enables a comparative perspective of different parts of the region and shows the main dynamics of Nordic/Scandinavian fiction in both historical and contemporaneous perspective.

Language of instruction: English.

A detailed reading list will be provided to the students at the beginning of the course.
