Masters and PhD students from any research backgrounds are welcome to attend the course. The course is particularly relevant for students dealing with interdisciplinary issues across economics, natural and social sciences.

Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the current ecosystem services research.

Period I

The aim of this course is to provide a systematic overview of the ecosystem service approach, in regard to both theory and applications. Examples and case studies will focus on forest ecosystems and the forest sector.

Participation and critical discussion, minimum mandatory attendance, reading material and a final essay. K22-H10-I101

Mandatory readings to provide a basis for in-class discussions during each corresponding core lecture.

0-5. Grading will be based on active participation and a final essay.
