After the course, the students will
- understand the mechanisms underlying cellular force production
- be able to describe mechanisms driving membrane transport and dynamics
First year of MSc studies, period 2.
The course will cover cellular force production, mechanobiology, and structure and dynamics of cellular membranes.
Lectures and exam (3 ECTS) and 'journal club' presentations by students (2 ECTS).
Research articles and review articles selected by the lecturers.
Both the exam and student presentations will be rated on a scale from 0 to 5. The final grade is 75 % based on the exam, and 25 % on the student presentation.
