Description

This course is aimed at students in the Master´s Programme in International Business Law (IBL). Other law degree students and law exchange students are welcome to attend this course as well.

Students from other faculties must first apply for the right to take this course before they can register for this course.

Students are expected to have prior knowledge in regulation of insurance contracts in general and in their home country.

Students understand the key issues in insurance contract law in international context.

IV teaching period

The course includes e.g.:

— national insurance contract laws versus international insurance market;

— insurance contracts and private international law;

— harmonization of insurance contract law.

NB! The lectures on the course are cancelled. Instead, the essay assignment will be expanded and the exam will be replaced by a material-based writing assignment. More information will follow on the course page.

Exam (general scale) and possibility to earn additional points for the exam by a good essay.

Lecture course (80 % attendance), an essay on insurance regulation and insurance market in one's home country, active participation during the lectures, exam.
