Spanish (Spanish Philology).
Only for students of Spanish Philology.
After completing this course, the student will be able to:
-understand in depth the structure and functioning of the Spanish language;
- reflect about grammatical rules and lexical fixation;
-motivated her/his knowledge of Spanish with a solid grammatical foundation;
-discuss issues related to normative and descriptive Spanish.
It is recommended to complete this course in the first year of Spanish Studies.
Autumn (two periods).
It will be offered every year.
The content of this course is organized around the following main topics: the Spanish verbal system, the Spanish nominal system and Spanish simple and complex sentences. Along the course, the use of temporal tenses both from the indicative and the subjunctive will be addressed, grammatical and discursive characteristics of nouns, adjectives and determiners will be discussed, as well as certain functional features of prepositions and conjunctives. The teacher can select some constructions to explain through them several of the previous grammatical questions.
