Other courses that support the further development of the competence provided by this course are those offered in the thematic group with the title “Spanish as a Second Language”: Methods in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language; Spanish for Specific Purposes; Culture in the Spanish L2 Classroom; Creation and Use of Teaching Materials in Spanish as a Second Language Teaching; Teaching and Learning Linguistic Competencies; Spanish as a Heritage Language.

After completing this course, students will be able to have a deeper understanding of any topic related to the field within the thematic unit of Spanish as a Second Language.

Students will be able to further develop their critical thinking and evaluation of different materials related to the topic under discussion.

Students will be able to apply the acquired knowledge to different skills required in working life.

The course will not be offered every year.

The course will take place when there is a specialist on a topic related to those within “Spanish as a Second Language”.

The exact duration of the course is not fixed.

The exact content of the course will be specified by the teacher in the beginning of the course.

The topics of the course will be related with those dealt within the thematic group of “Spanish as a Second Language”.

Literature for the course will be specified later in the beginning of the course.

The teacher will specify the methods in the beginning of the course and how s/he is documenting the activities.

- Compulsory attendance is required.

- Individual work and/or exam.

General grading scale from 0 to 5.
