Research in archaeology ranges from early human prehistory all the way to modern times. Archaeological material includes fixed relics, objects and traces of human activity found in nature.

Archaeology of Finland and Neighbouring Areas, 5 cr

After completing the course, students will have basic knowledge in archaeology pertaining to Finland and its neighbouring areas in the prehistoric and historical periods, as well as related cultural phenomena, tangible relics and objects. The course develops skills in professional reading and mastery over extensive subject matters.
