The course is compulsory for students of the Study Track in World Politics.
Basic studies in politics, the media and communication
After completing the course, students will be familiar with the central theoretical research approaches in world politics and understand their weaknesses and strengths, as well as be able to connect them with the broader frame of the philosophy of science.
First period of the second year of studies
The course examines the most important theoretical trends and methodological principles in the study of world politics. The course familiarises students with central questions and problems in world politics from the perspective of both the traditional study of international politics, as well as peace and conflict studies and global political economy.

Graded on a scale of 0 to 5 (0=fail, 1=pass, 2=satisfactory, 3=good, 4=very good, 5=excellent)

Compulsory lecture course and required literature will be specified during the course, to be examined in connection with the course. If all student places are taken, students of other degree programmes can complete the course by taking a book examination.
