After completing the course, students will be familiar with the central trends and concepts of the study of communication, the media and the public sphere, as well as their historical background. They will also be able to identify and evaluate changes in the media landscape, as well as topical phenomena of the media and communication through research concepts and perspectives.
First period of the first year of studies
The course introduces students to perspectives, central concepts and topical questions on media and communication studies through the research traditions of research focused on the media, the public sphere and organisational communication.

The course is compulsory for all students of the Bachelor’s Programme in Politics, Media and Communication. Lectures, lecture and book examination.
