TMED-915 EXAM

Description

Students of the Master’s Programme in Translational Medicine. The course is open also to MSc, MD and PhD students in the University of Helsinki.

Basic statistics, basic programming

The student will be able to understand and evaluate scientific articles that use bioinformatics, program in the R language at the level of using available packages, and analyse high-throughput data.

Period III, first or second study years of the Master’s studies

Pre-processing of data, statistical analysis, clustering/prediction

Lecture material, selected articles

Lectures, weekly exercises, exam/project work

Weekly exercises (50%) and exam/project work (50%). Grading scale 1–5.
