Description

Masters Level (compulsory for Masters students in Development Studies)

During the course the student gains analytical skills in policy analysis as well as a deeper theoretical understanding to different kinds of development interventions. The student learns about global players in the development policy & interventions playing field, from the EU and its Member States to the different UN bodies, the private sector, and more. This course also goes deeper into analysing the effects of various development interventions on social, economic, cultural and environmental change and justice. In addition, the student also develops practical and social skills to discuss these issues.

Period: 1

This course deals with development policies and forms of development interventions as well as their impacts on social, economic, cultural and environmental change processes in developing countries. Students in the field of development research prepare a personal Master's Degree Study Plan (HOPS) in connection with the course.
