The course is primarily directed at doctoral candidates in the beginning of their doctoral studies, belonging to the doctoral programmes mainly on the Viikki or Kumpula Campus. This course supports participants in developing their research related information management skills.
This course will cover:
- Open Science, Copyright
- Research Data Management
- Research Evaluation Tools (including Altmetrics, H-index and Impact Factors)
- Research Publication: TUHAT, Open Access and Self Archiving
- Citation Tracking (Alert Services)
To update basic skills in information seeking and using reference management software please note the separate 984014 Information Seeking and Management for Thesis Writers: open online course (MOOC) and 98510 RefWorks reference management courses for these topics.
Students are required to answer a preliminary enquiry, attend the training sessions (at least 3/4 - note that this is not an online course) and complete exercises in Moodle. You will get the enrollment key before the course starts.
