LABORATORY COURSE IN AEROSOL PHYSICS

Three laboratory works in aerosol physics. Max 12 students. Aer. Meas. Tech + programming skills required to participate

Course opening lecture 13.1 at 9.15 in Physicum B409

Max 12 students taken.

After this course, the students are able to:
-perform selected aerosol instrument calibrations
-measure and analyze atmospheric data from selected instruments

Requirements to participate to the course:
-Course: Atmospheric measurement techniques
-Skills and knowledge: basic knowledge on aerosol physics and programming skills

During 2020 course the course consists of three laboratory works:
-Aerosol size distribution measurements using a DMPS and OPS
-PSM calibration and data inversion
-AMS calibration, atmospheric measurement and data analysis

Contents:
-Lecture every wed 10-12. First lecture 13.1 at 9.15 in Physicum B409
-Lab work 3*(4h+4h)
-Exercises
-Data analysis + report from each lab work

Grading:
-exercises 25%, reports 75%, each report must be passed with minimum grade of 1 to pass the course
