Doctoral candidates
Participants will learn the basics of camera use, image workflow and digital processing.
To be completed at any time during doctoral studies
Offered annually in either the autumn or the spring
Four individual workshops (W) on consecutive Fridays.
W1 (27th March 2020): The Basics. Camera use, perspectives, lenses, filters, F, shutter speed, ISO, stands, lighting. Camera or scanner? Practice what we have learnt. Cameras and laptops required.
W2 (3rd April 2020): Hands on afternoon in groups of 5. Scanning, macro photography, tent photography. Cameras required.
W3 (17th April 2020): Digital workflow. Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Laptop with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop installed required.
W4 (24th April 2020): Image editing in Photoshop. Examples brought by students. Laptop with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop installed required.
Attendance during all workshops and active participation, use of own material.
Full attendance during the course and completion of course assignments as given by the course responsible teacher
