Beskrivning

This course is aimed at students in the Master's Programme in International Business Law (IBL). Other law degree students and law exchange students are welcome to attend this course as well, if there is space.

Recommended basic international, European or environmental law, suitable interdisciplinary studies.

Courses in European and international as well as economic or environmental law.

Understanding goals and strategies of existing climate change and energy regimes.

II teaching period

— The climate change regime: context and development.

— International cooperation and conventions: UN Climate Change Convention 1992.

— The International Climate Change Panel (IPPC).

— EU climate change system (mitigation): emission trading and others.

— Adaptation to climate change: strategies and examples: erosion, floods, fiood safety.

— Water and forest adaptation strategies.

— The carbon-free (CO2) future (20–20–20) – negotiations and expectations?

— Energy and climate change: renewable energy sources.

Lecture course (26 h) including guidance for preparing personal seminar papers (home work 52 h). Presence and presentation of draft report required. Learning diary.
